Livingston
So. The 6th of June Linda left me to go back to Utila and dive more, and then make her way back to Costa Rica to catch a flight home.
i dont remember what my original plan was, but I liked the hostel we were staying at, and heard them talking about needing volunteers, so I started volunteering there. So, they call u a volunteer because it's illegal for u to work on a tourist visa, and also because they don't have the money to pay really. What you get insteas is a place to stay and food.
Ive been here for almost a month now (went to Belize for a week in the middle) and Livingston is growing on me. It's on the Caribbean coast, but don't expect lovely white beaches, they're full of trash. Most of the people here are Garifuna, with they're own language and culture. And it feels so safe here. And the guy in the closest tienda knows me by now and is really sweet.
