At earth lodge, the avocado farm, we met a couple, Dan and Anita, that were on the shuttle from Copan, supernice peole. Out first night in earth lodge we drank girly drinks, had amazing food, went to bed early. The day after I went for a run with a american guy, or he realized he was much faster and left me. It was such nice views over the volcanos! Spent the rest of the day napping, and reading in hammocks. Linda got sick and spent the day lying in bed or at the toilet, poor girl. Girly drinks, nice food, and off to bed. We switched from the dorm so now me and Linda have this cute little tent with a queensized matress in it.
This morning me and Dan went for a run in the mountains here, so so so pretty and so so so hard. Had lots to eat when I got back, and I imagine I will spend the rest of the day in the hammock drinking a smoothie.

So me and Linda took a shuttle from Copan to Antigua, Guatemala. We were debating taking several chicken buses to get there, but lots of peole has been telling us those buses are not very safe in Honduras, so we ended up with the shuttle. Go to Antigua, and it was raining. Checked into a hostel, smelly, dirty and wierd staff. Not the best start to Guatemala. Found another place to stay the morning after, much nice, and we splurged on a private room. Our first whole day in Antigua was spent at the big market. We ate lots of yummy streetfood, trying everything we saw basically, and bargained for souvenirs. In the afternoon we went to a hill with a nice view over Antiua (there was so much robberys agains tourist there before, so now there is actually tourist police at that hill) and then walked around looking at (not inside) churches. More streetfood, and then off to bed. Second day in Antigua we hiked a volcano, supernice views! In the afternoon we went to this avocado farm up in the hills, a place with amazing views, yoga in the morning and healthy veggie food. And lots of comfy hammocks.

Copan is a small pretty city with cobbelstone streets, it feels small nice and safe. And it is nice, but a little boring after Utila. We saw the ruins yesterday, today we need to sort out buses for tomorrow, try to get out of our we-miss-utila-and-want-to-go-back depression and pack our shit. Tomorrow we are going to Guatemala!!

I wasnt even supposed to go to Honduras, but im so glad I did! Its my favorite country so far, people have been so nice and helpful and Ive felt safe the whole time, Im sad to leave but at the same time Im so excited for Guatemala.

My second week I started my open water course, and it was the best decision ever! My first two dives I had such problems equalizing, so I waited a few days before my last two dives, and it was much easier. After finishing my ow I did a adventure deep dive, so now I can dive to 30 meter! Happy girl! Also on the last dive we got to swim with dolphins, I was literally like 40 cm from them. Such beautiful creatures!!
I met Linda at captain morgans, the diveshop, so now I have another lovely german travelbuddy! We left Utila the 19th, but it was sooo hard because we both really wanted to stay and to the advanced dive course, but then I would have to sell one of my kidneys to finance the rest of my travels, and I want to save that option for later. So we left, and went to Copan, to see the maya ruins, they were super cool and everything, but I think ruins arent really my thing.

So we stayed 3 nights in Tegucigalpa, and it was so nice, its the kind of city where its nice to have someone showing you around. We went to two supercute mountain villages, had amazing food and also went for beers in the city, and yes I felt so safe!
After 3 nights I went with Heidi to Utila, an amazing island off the coast of Honduras. Heidi is a dive instructor, so she was looking for work, and I wanted to dive. The first days I had a bad cold, so diving was out, and I wanted something to do, so I went looking for a job, so by my third day I was working in a bar. It was so much fun and I really enjoyed it!
Otherwise my first week in Utila went something like this
- Pina Coladas
- Naps in hammocks
- Baleadas, warm tortilla filled with whatever u want
- Lots and lots of lovely people

So. Me and Eva was supposed to go to Guatemala today (monday) but as always I made a impulsive decision to go with some guys to Honduras. So David, from Honduras, and Tanner, canadian, drove a car from Hondruas to Nicaragua, and was going back. So now I am here (with a nice swedishfinnish girl) in the 3rd murdercapital of the world (the first one is another city in Honduras) and it is so nice. We stayed at Davids house yesterday (and yes it has a gate and barbed wire ontop) and today we are going sightseeing. Have no idea were Im going next, but right now Im happy.

After Popoyo me and Eva went to Leon. Volcanoboarding means hiking up a volcano with a modified snowboard, sit down on said board and go down the volcano, and is so much fun. Leon was pretty, and we meet some people we already met in Ometepe and San Juan. I was stupid enought to do a Lava shot challange. Three nasty shots (secret recipe, but full of fucking jalapenos) and you get a ugly tshirt. There was 5 of us doing it, two puked right away, and I felt my face was on fire for a hour. So horrible.

After Ometepe Ellie went to Costa Rica, Rasa to Bali, and me and Eva to Popoyo, a tiny beachtown. First night we stayed Eva got bedbugs, and we only had saltwater showers for 5 days, but it was amazing. Again, met the best people, and surf a lot. This supernice french guy me met in Ometepe gave us surflessons for free, so we only had to rent a board. So for 5 days I surfed, napped in the hammock, surfed again, and was surrounded by amazing people. If it sounds like Im on happy pills,

So they have this thing called sunday funday in San Juan, which is +300 people going to two poolparties and a bar and getting drunk, u also get a ugly tshirt. Was kind of like a cliche from a hollywood college movie, but fun!
The monday after I met two girls on a surflesson, Rasa from Lithuania and Eva from Germany, they were going to Ometepe the day after, so I decided to join them (great decision!) So Ometepe is this pretty island with two Volcanos on it. We (Rasa, Eva and Ellie from sweden) stayed at a superfun hostel were we met lots of people. Me and Rasa also climed one of the volcanoes, took 7 hours and was SO hard I thought I was gonna cry, but worth it. We also went horseriding, and hiked a waterfall.
